UPDATE 8/3/09: Some are reporting that if you’re on OS 3.0.1 or possibly a 3GS (or both) Installd Patch may or may not actually install. Seriously, if you’re reading this right now, you should be following him.

Thanks go to for this lovely little hack, and lots of other wonderful info on his blog.

Install the package “Installd Patch” (this used to be Mobileinstallation Patch, just a name change in OS 3.0). Procedure: things marked (2.2 STEP) will already be done if you followed my previous procedure, and you may not need to repeat them. Essentially, it just replaces a few bits in the Xcode plugin that actually handles the device build, which restores our build and go ability. It’s all based on a little hack posted by in this thread ( coral). Luckily, there’s a new, much less ghetto way. That was really very hairy, though, if you didn’t want to have to switch environments to debug (close and restart Xcode). For a while, all you could do was try to hack SDK 3.0 support into Xcode 3.1.2, installed with SDK 2.2. SDK 3.0 (Xcode version 3.1.3) broke these Plist editing tricks.

In SDK 2.2 (Xcode version 3.1.2) this was just a simple matter of editing some Plists and such to tell Xcode to ignore provisioning profiles.

We want to break code signing on the iPhone, and then we want to make Xcode load software into it automatically to debug. This time OS 3.0 style.Ībstract: Same deal as last round. The Goal: Get live on-device XCode debugging without being a paying ADC member. Jailbreak status: Jailbroken using Pwnage Tool. IPhone OS version: 3.0 (rock the hizzouse!) So remove both of those (or restore and don't install them if you can't remove them).IPhone version: 3G (should work with 2G and 3GS) Just off the top of my head, I know that if you installed Ch40s-Utilities from repod00r, you will have issues, and dissolve probably uses an outdated ch40s-utilities. That would help us narrow down what the actual package that is broken is. Have you actually tried restoring again, then installing one by one the packages? A screenshot of the error would be nice, because normally it would say before it what the package was (although you might not notice it.) Cydia would try to reconfigure the package every time you tried to install something else, and in the output of the install, it would say "Configuring SomePackage" (replace that with the package name). (So, not a whited00r 6 problem, unless, of course, it isn't a generic error and actually does say it is to do with whited00r in cydia). That means that something you installed has an error. If it was an error with whited00r 6, you would have gotten that error right away when you tried to install something from cydia. Unless cydia specifically tells you it is an error with 00r, it isn't related to whited00r. Just because you get an error on whited00r 6, doesn't mean it is a problem with whited00r 6. Might have helped if we had known it was a generic error.

Last time you posted you said that it was an error with the whited00r6 package, not just a generic error. Please keep the forums clean and organized! Moderator note: moved the thread from Bug Report as it was not a whited00r bug per say, because of all the tweaks that you made, to the proper Modding whited00r forum: Amateur Developers. Well, this is third time i'm posting this message, so please do not delete This didn't happen in WD5 and when i restore it doesn't happen for a week or so. Sub -process /user/bin/dpkg returned an error code (1) Subprocess pre installation script returned error exit status 1
